Pigeon House was made while I was at the artists residency Yaddo and was influenced by Yaddo’s history of loss and rebirth. The wooden house on the first floor represents a fragile body grounded in the earth. The projected image of a pigeon on the second floor acted as a metaphor for the phoenix or for the life spirit of a human.
